Elizabeth Smith Veterinary Practice joins Kin Vet Community’s vet-led collective

Kin Vet Community today announced the addition of the Elizabeth Smith Veterinary Practice at Upper Caldecote, near Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, to their vet-led collective of practices across the south and east of England. This expansion marks Kin Vet Community’s first presence in Bedfordshire and strengthens its commitment to delivering the highest standards of veterinary care, underpinned by empathy, trust, and transparency.

From its purpose-built facilities, Elizabeth Smith Veterinary Practice offers a full range of first opinion services as well as referrals in diagnostic imaging, ophthalmology, and physiotherapy. Known for its welcoming and compassionate approach, the practice is a natural fit with Kin Vet Community’s culture of collaboration.

Ciara McCormack MVB MRCVS, CEO of Kin Vet Community, said, “We are excited to welcome Elizabeth Smith Veterinary Practice to the Kin Vet Community family. This development aligns with our strategic vision for creating a network of trusted practices serving their communities with the highest standards of veterinary care.”

Elizabeth Smith, BVet Med MRCVS, who founded the Elizabeth Smith Veterinary Practice in 2002, will continue to lead the practice together with her established team. She emphasised that finding the right partner to support the practice’s future was a careful and considered process: “Succession planning is an important part of practice ownership and after a very long time searching, I believe that Kin Vet Community truly understands and acknowledges my practice culture,” said Elizabeth. “They are a high quality company bringing practices together whilst focusing on maintaining our successful brand within the community. I believe the success of Elizabeth Smith Veterinary Practice stems from my fabulous team who genuinely care about each other and our patients and this is the ethos that Kin Vet Community will develop and build on.”

Ensuring continuity of care for clients and patients has been central to the decision. Elizabeth underlined that the practice’s emphasis on customer service, case continuity and a personal, caring approach would remain at the heart of its work: “The transition process has been smooth and every step has been thoroughly explained with patience and respect,” she commented. “I feel that Kin Vet Community have listened to the values that I hold dear within my practice and having had the privilege of leading an amazing team for 23 years, I am very confident and excited about what the future holds for Elizabeth Smith Veterinary Practice as we enter the next chapter.”

In joining Kin Vet Community, Elizabeth Smith Veterinary Practice advances the group’s mission to deliver high-quality, vet-led care across the region, while gaining the advantages of collaboration, professional development, and shared expertise.
